Another topic to get everyone thinking!

What else do we see 007 drinking, apart from his favourite vodka martini, shaken not stirred.

Here are a few off the top of my head - can you add more drinks, with the movie, and scene, they come from???



Dr No - drugged coffee at Dr No's lair

FRWL - black coffee (medium-sweet) with Karim Bey. Then later, red wine, straight from the bottle at the gypsy camp. Also wine on the train with Grant.

GF - "rather disappointing" brandy with M and Colonel Smithers

TMWTGG - he drinks wine or champagne with Scaramanga?

DAD - Mohito with Jinx in Cuba

YOLT - Sake, with Tanaka, and at just the right temperature too.

GE - a Bourbon with M? Also, he aludes to drinking beer with Alec during the PTS. "Buy me a pint..."



In which films does he drink champagne????

AVTAK- While hes talking to the Doctor and to the Oil business guy he picks up a glass with I think champange? Maybe not quite sure what the drink is..

OP - Doesn't he drink bubbly with Magda, even giving her a refill?

YOLT - 'Siamese vodka' after the fight in Osato's office. I wonder if it's the same as Thai sang-som rum, as Connery's facial expression suggests it might be!

I think what Bond was offered at the gyspy camp was Raki, which is an anise flavored liqueur similar to the Greek Ozuo. I quote:

Its precursoris raki , a drink distilled throughout the Byzantine and later Ottoman Empires, often in those days of quality approaching moonshine (similar liqueurs in Turkey and many Arab countries still go by that name).

I think Bond rather liked the 'filthy stuff' as he was still drinking from the bottle after the camp fight.

Excellent - that answers my question!!!

A great site, and I like how they describe M's office as "M's bar". I think Judi Dench's M is even more of an alcoholic than previous ones!!
