Are you a big fan of 'The Saint'?
I personally think that Roger Moore was the best. This is not bias or anything as I was a ST fan before I started viewing the Moore Bond films.

Yeah he could be Bond, except fo one thing....He's playing the villain! I guess it could be possible though, I mean actors have returned before. But here it wouldn't work. I agree that if he wasn't playing the villain this time round then he may have been condsidered in the future. He looks better now without that stupid moustache (a la publicity shots) and in that shot on the right, he looks a lot like Roger Moore from his days as 'The Saint'.

The Saint, especially the black and white episodes, stand up very well.
It's odd that Roger seemed both a better actor back then (less reliant on the same old mannerisms), and that he played the small screen Saint tougher and nore ruthless than he did Bond.
If there ever was an attempt to revive the Saint franchise (after the limp Simon Dutton TVMs and the disastrous Val Kilmer movie), Toby Stevens would be ideal.
