For the next James Bond movie, MGM will court the younger crowd by casting Matthew Perry as Bond. Matt LeBlanc with play his CIA counterpart. Courtney Cox will play the Bond girl. Lisa Kudrow will play the femme fatale. David Schwimmer will play the gadget master. Jennifer Aniston will play Brad Pitt's wife.

No, in all seriousness folks, I think Hugh Jackman should be the next Bond. Watch him in Swordfish. The man has sex appeal and he can do action. He's also a good actor. If they don't want to screw up and pull a Timothy Dalton, they should cast Hugh Jackman.

Haven't Matthew Perry been seriously considered to replace Brosnan? In my opinion, he could do a great Bond. But i still prefer CHRISTIAN BALE! Why do people never talk about him? He's the best option!
As my close second choice: HUGH JACKMAN!
If these two refuse the part (insanity!), then we can call Chandler!

I don't think people have mentioned Christian Bale because they haven't really thought about it, Die Another Day is on the way, pierce will be doing Bond 21 and possibly 22 so were quite a way off finding a new Bond on our hands. I for one am not in the slightest bit interested in who will be the next Bond, Pierce is suberb and non of the contenders that have been mentioned could top Brosnan, he goes from strength to strength. I feel sorry for whoever does get the job as it will be a mammoth task to top Brosnan.

I actually agree that Hugh Jackman could, and probably will, be the next James Bond. He wants to do it, the producers have menitoned him, the fans like him. Why not right?

On an aside, I get the fact you dont like Dalton, I on the other enjoy his films. Its getting annoying reading you slag off him in every post you make. Fine, we get it, you dont like Dalton!

Come on! I know that Pierce will be doing Bond 21 (22?? don't think so!), but isn't the propose of this topic to discuss the substitute for Brosnan?
Doesn't make any sense to go in here and say "nobody will fit Pierce's shoes!"... come on!
Pierce is actually the second best Bond ever. But even Sean Connery was replaced!!

First off, I think Brosnan will do Bond21. What makes you so sure he wont? Another thing, no one is saying Brosnan is irreplacable, so your complaint makes no sense.

Pierce is doing Bond 21. That has been confirmed. Whoever does take over after Pierce does leave will have his work cut out for him. Just to be nice, no bad remarks about you know who....

I heard rumours in the past that Iaon Grufford (welsh TV actor - Hornblower) would take over the role, and I thought it was a very bad choice.

But, having just seen adverts for a new UK TV series The Forsythe Saga with him in he looks very much like Bond. He therefore has shot straight to the top of my list for potential Bonds. He is also at a good age to start, not a kid, but not as old as PB when he started, so he could last quite a lot more films looking a reasonable age.

I have a valid point, and I didn't say Pierce was irreplacable. I think it is you who should read more carefully. I said that none of the aformentioned contenders could top Brosnan, which is my opinion, I then said whoever got the job would have a mammoth task ahead of them, this is the truth. Brosnan is the Bond of a new generation 99% of kids aged upto around 12 know that 'Brosnan is Bond' (not to mention all the Brosnan fans above that age) not only has Brosnan been lucky enough to introduce Bond to a new generation but he has been massively successful. I think you'll agree I have an extremely valid point of view.

I'm all for another Welsh Bond, but I think Ioan Gryffed is still a bit young - maybe in a few years time. I think Bond needs to look like a man who's lived and is full of experience - not too green. Timothy Dalton (another Welshman) turned down the part when he was younger and it paid off. Pierce Brosnan also didn't get the part until he was older and it was probably a blessing in disguise as his Remmington Steele character was probably a bit lightweight compared to his Bond character.

Mr Moon,

Good point, I must say! Reading your new message, your point of view became clear to me. Nevertheless I still think your first message defended Brosnan as irreplacable... hehe.. just kidding!
Pierce Brosnan rules! Sometimes I think he is the best 007 ever. He's gonna kick :) in Die Another Day and in Bond 21 (Casino Royale??)...
But I just wanted you and everybody to introduce your contenders to the much desired James Bond part after Bond 21.
That's the beauty of this forum!
Best regards!
