My attache case arrived today.

HOWEVER... i got it home and the case itself was... the side had split and started to fall out! quite a few of the dvd cases had opened and the thing holding the second disc had fallen out in a couple. rather dissapointing! - I took it back to Ezy DVD and apparently Sony have recalled alot of them because they already knew about these problems..

I did start to watch a few of the new extras discs, I noticed on the Die Another Day DVD it says on the back of the case about the 'Ministry Of Propoganda' section on the disc... but its no where to be found! Not anywhere on either discs! - Am i blind or is it definately not there?

also i remember when i saw The World Is Not Enough at the cinema when M was making a joke about the Millenium Dome being useful for something .. that was the only deleted scene that was missing from the DVD all the others were there! lets hope once the case issues have been fixed it will be a bloody great little set! :-) did anyone else have any issues?! ... oh and the free pocket knife? yeah great but nothing special ...

Did you guys get yours delivered by courier or Australia Post?

And how close do you happen to be located to an EzyDVD store?

I'm curious as to why mine haven't shipped yet is all.

Can someone answer this dumb question for me? Is there any difference between the "cheaper" version and the attache case version, apart from the attache case? And is the attache case really worth $120?!

(Trying to decide if I want to fork out the extra money...)

They're still on hold! :)

Does anyone with experience buying online with EzyDVD know what this usually means, especially in terms of waiting time etc.

Maybe it's a NSW thing, cause mine are still 'On Hold' (okay I've been whinging about it for the last page but I'm quite disappointed they didn't arrive today)

I'm on a different pc to the one I have my tax invoice page or w/e (I got it when I placed my order, it has the pricing order number etc) but is it possible they're Victoria based or something? If not it may have something to do with dates that they were pre-ordered/order numbers. Needless to say if I don't have them by the weekend I shall be quite angry.

I've fired off an email.

I went into their store in Parramatta a couple of weeks ago to ask why my account had not been debited yet. They said it wouldn't be until THE day. I then got clarification that I would get the damn thing a couple of days after that.

Before those who could walk in and buy it on the day!

Tell me how it goes and depending on what they do I'll be firing off an e-mail faster than Rosie o'Donnel fires through a basket sized minge. (Gross.)

Picked my attache case (#4201 of 6000 :P) up from JB HiFi today, though apparently the "free poker sets" haven't arrived yet. The guy taped the receipt to the bag because "I know you Bond fans don't like to have your precious box wrecked". I think he'd had a long day.

Tried out Dr. No this afternoon. Damn it looked good. Also being looking though a couple of the new extras on the disc 2s. The Fleming interviews on From Russia With Love and some of the stuff from The Living Daylights. Very nice :)

Also, for those interested, I noticed at JB that they're selling the "hard case" for only $258, instead of the previously advertised $300.

Ah, my delay was because I'm a first time customer and need to confirm the credit card before they ship it. I'll be getting my father on to that immediately and should receive them by the weekend :)

dvds are exactly the same, you just get a solid case for the DVds that's all!!! I'll be getting the cheaper version.
Or I might budge and get the pricier version, but do I really need a metal case?

Just for the record has anyone in Australia been able to get their JB online pre-order?

Representing Victoria I say thats a negative for me.

Gotcha. I was just curious as it seems some members are having delays in getting them when they ordered.

Gotta love the generic response email...

EDIT: This followup fills me with hope!

Hi Amin,

Thank you for your email.

We do apologise that your item is still on backorder with our supplier.
At this stage unfortunately we don’t know how long this will take to
arrive as our suppliers have not given us an estimated time frame. They
have run out of stock and are currently trying to outsource this for you.
We will however, keep you updated with its progress and ship it out to
you as soon as it arrives.

Normally if the item has not turned up from our supplier after 56 for
import items and 28 days for local items - we can safely assume that this
item is not likely to come in and we will cancel your order and contact
you in regards to this.

If the item has been deleted by our supplier before this, we will
definitely let you know. If you would prefer to cancel this order then
please let me know.

Sorry for any inconvenience.

Regards,
JB HI-FI ONLINE
