I didn't see any thread about this so...

Last part of this news announces that Nokia has a mobile silver-finished version called 'Aston Martin' which features the car's logo that will appear in Casino Royale.

Limited edition items like this wouldn't actually show up in the movie I think. Just like the Swatch James Bond 40th Anniversary collection.
The gold one might be used by Le Chiffre perhaps.

Granted, but the standard version of the Nokia 8800 would be an ideal Bond phone. Hopefully there will be some kind of movie tie-in promotion. It's about time I upgraded my mobile. :tup:

Clearly being marketed as a "special".....and in fact, if Nokia have anything to do with CR, then you'd have thought that there'd be at least one reference to this fone on their website....

With Ericsson being the official tie in in TND and DAD and with Sony now owning both MGM and 50% of Sony Ericsson, i would find odd if a Nokia phone was used for promotial tie ins

Anyway, sort of off topic, but shouldn't Bond have one of those really expensive mobiles - i.e. not a bog standard Nokia or Ericsson or Motorola, but those really top notch phones that are sold for thousands, rather than hundreds, dollars. I can't think of the name, but I'm sure someone could.
