Considering it's only hearsay from the Bond set, Craig might not be in negotiations yet, but I hope he is. Daniel Craig as Lucifer: I'll pay to see that!
This is the plot summary as given by an IMDB user:
God is giving Satan a last shot at redemption; Satan must live out a blameless life as a human. Slick negotiator that he is, Lucifer negotiates a 'try before you buy' period. 1 Month. London. He has no intention of taking God up on His offer. Lucifer simply wants to put a body through as much drug, sex and other multiple vice excess as possible in a month. But inhabiting a human body gives rise to feelings the Ol Devil never thought possible...could he just possibly want to take God up on the offer after all?
(Incidentally, there's also a Modesty Blaise novel by Peter O'Donnelly that goes by the title I, Lucifer.)

DANIEL CRAIG DOES NOT HAVE RED SKIN, HORNS GROWING OUT OF HIS HEAD, OR A TAIL!
I think quite a few very passionate Brosnan fans might disagree. I've noticed plenty of posts on CBn and other Bond sites by people who appear to view Craig in precisely those terms.
Will it now go from "He's too ugly for Bond" to "He's too handsome for Satan"?

Well, for all the Craig bashers out there who proclaimed he was the anti-christ, I guess they got their wish.
*Craig dressed in red suit with horns holding a pitchfork and with pointed tail lets out an evil laugh to all involved in/with craignotbond.com*
"Brosnan will never play Bond again!!!!"
*minion devil approaches him and whispers in his ear*
"...Oh?..quite...Unless of course your watching beer ads in Portugal."
*continues laughing*
Must say, sounds cool and I did enjoy the book.

Personnally, all the stuff I've seen Craig do is fairly serious, heavy stuff. Before anyone contradicts, I include Layer Cake and Casino Royale.
Therefore, wouldn't it be nice to see Daniel do a light, fluffy Hugh Grant-esque piece? I know I've read Craig say he never gets offered that sort of thing because people reckon he's not that kind of actor: surely, now he's Bond he'll have a varied choice a a lightweight piece of froth might just show how much more versatility he has.

No,i wouldnt agree with you.Basically Craig is appropiate for the Devil.Just as his Bond would be a different but interesting.
DC is a great actor. He can play any character.
I feel he is he best actor in the UK.Does any of you agree with me.?

I was never a fan of "Sympathy for the Devil." But I always liked "Satanic Majesty's Request." I also liked "Revolution #9," so I'm probably alone in these preferences. I blame Daniel Craig for that too.

Ditto, the only reason I checked on this topic was because I thought that it might have been.
And by the way LL, there's no 'y' in Peter O'Donnell.
