Ananova reports that the entire Fleming Bond novels will be reprinted by Penguin.

This is to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the completion of Casino Royale.

All right, Penguin!

I'm curious to see what the cover designs are. I hope 'abstract' doesn't mean 'has really nothing to do with what's inside'.

Is this for the US or UK?

It sounded to me that they meant U.K., however thanks to sites like amazon.co.uk it doesn't really matter very much. (other than translating dollars to pounds.)

I noticed this on Amazon last week. But it stated that the books would be hardcover and would be published by Viking.

Which ones will you be buying? I think I might go after the hardback collection, even though they are slightly overpriced compared to the paperbacks.

I probably won't end up getting any of them. I don't have the money or the space to have multiple copies of each of each book. I'm curious about the cover art though.

The cover art is simple but I like it. An Amazon.com listing for "Casino Royale" seems to indicate that the Penguin reprints will maker their way to the United States in the fall. I certainly hope so. I'd gladly buy a set of the novels in either hardcover or paperback!

Does anyone know when they are going to be available in Canada and for how much?

It'd be nice if they used the Richard Chopping hardcover artwork for the anniversary editions.
Problem is, Chopping only started with FRWL, the earlier volumes had pretty naf covers.

What annoys me is that, since joining up to the Penguin Bond mini-site way back when, I have never received any e-mails to say that the site had actually started up or anything else.

That's strange Brett. I've received at least one e-mail, I'm pretty sure I've also had a second but don't quote me on the latter.

cool, good news, but man the US has gotten the shaft on good Fleming reprints for years, Bond books are so hard to find anywhere unless you hound used bookstores, nowhere else do you find anything that's not the last Benson book, but I've bookstores in the UK with a row lined with every bond novel fleming, to amis, gardner and benson....now that's cool...

I'd like to know where these are!

I've tried all the UK's multi-store book shops and none of them have had the lineup of all the novels. Most had sporadic Fleming titles, but Gardner is a hard one to find.

The new cover art is pretty cool, especially the "Goldfinger" cover. Go to www.penguin.com

Was it Murder One? They had some of the Fleming paperbacks several weeks ago.
