Clearly this is meant to be a stunning open to the movie as in the pretitle sequences to Brosnan's films, except that this time around, it follows the pretitles. Hoping that we don't see a repeat of TWINE (jaw-dropping start; subsequently lackluster action). The Venice climax must be something special altogether.

look at craig there: This is when we realise that Bond is a relentless, deadly guy to have on your tail. using raw instinct to chase a faster enemy.
those epic wide shots are breathtaking...

The crane action is a bit True Lies-ish, but still fantastic anyway.
A bit of an odd thing to say considering True Lies was inspired by Bond, no?
I think if anything the crane action seems a bit Bond-is to me

SCENE LOOKS GOOD BUT IT REMIND ME OF THE FIGHT SCENE ON TOP OF GOLDEN GATE (AVTAK)
What the footage reminded me of was a Campbell directed episode of ''Reilly: Ace of Spys''. There's a scene where two characters confront each other on top of a shipyard crane, and watching it you get the feeling Campbell would have liked to do more with it but didn't have the budget.

I love the shot of the Aston. Looks like a scene right out of the 60s
Perhaps thanks to Daniel we are approaching as new legend, 007 as a legend again!!!
