If you mean underappreciated until years after he leaves the series, then yes he might be the next Lazenby (I get the feeling many fans won't like him for a long time). But if you mean number of films, I think he'll be doing at least 3.

Sean Connery wasnt the best bond. Sean Connery all he did in his movies was just talk his way out of things thats all he knew what to do as bond. Casino Royale will fail because there no Q or Moneypenny and no gadgets and they a crappy bond actor. Casino Royale will be a clone Bourne movie. Martin Campbell doesnt know how to direct. Look at his film The legend of Zorro. Very crap.

Roger Moore a whimp? May I just point out that regardless of the man's "toughness" Roger Moore has more charm, wit and sophistication than some people are showing nowadays.

As for Connery, "talking his way out" that was a great conversation he had with Goldfinger's Guard when he pounced down on top of him in an effort to escape, not too mention the insightfull discussion that occured when he blasted a SPECTRE technician away with a lethal cigarette.

Or do you mean how he used his mind to trick Goldfinger into keeping him alive? perhaps you'd have prefered it if he had of activated his hidden shoe grenades blowing the room apart and then ran about the place a submachine gun in either hand gunning down henchmen left and right?

As for a Bourne clone, chiken and the egg dude, Bourne like much of the modern spy and adventure genre owes a great deal to Bond. (just as Bond owes a great deal to the pulps of the 30s) Is it really a clone when you notice that someone else has successfully done what once did a long time ago?

At what point would you have killed Goldfinger? Considering his original mission was to prove he was a gold smuggler so that the Bank of England could seize his holdings and he could be arrested??

Wow, a pithy come back from Bond to the villain I would never imagine anyone doing that (Bond or anyother action hero...), not only that but in the case you sight, when Bond confronts Drax at that point Drax has two gun men on either die of him, last time I checked Bond wasn't bullet proof.

He blinks when he shoots eh? well he is an actor and not a real super spy. Roger's fair haired but i wouldnt say he was blonde.
