Here's a list I've compiled of the Bond theme demos that were never used in the film. I own all of these in MP3 format. If there's any I'm neglecting, please let me know.

Goldfinger - Anthony Newley (same tune as the existing one without the classic opening bars)
Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - Shirley Bassey
Mr. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - Dionne Warwick
You Only Live Twice - Julie Rogers
The Man With The Golden Gun - Alice Cooper
For Your Eyes Only - Blondie
Tomorrow Never Dies - St. Etienne (not really ever considered but an outside demo nontheless)
Tomorrow Never Dies (Surrender) -KD(yke) Lang (ended up making it to the end credits)
The World Is Not Enough - Straw (and this didn't feature in the film because...?!)

Hey Paul. You might want to donate some of those to MI6.co.uk (CBN's sister site) they have an alternative music project that's always looking for stuff like that. You can link to them through CBN homepage etc. I'm sure the MP3's would be apreciated.

Yeah, the Julie Rogers one is on the "Best of James Bond 30th Anniversary" album. I'll have to look up the TND Pulp song, which I think I saw at MI6.

Speaking of which, I'd forgotten about their alternative music project. I'll have to see if they want any of these.

Hi guys!
You may be pleased to know I've got 3 or 4 new tracks up my sleeve for the new year!

The original aim of the Alternative Music Project was to collect a few novelty tracks, but the list just keeps on growing.

P.S. Sorry I haven't replied Paul - I've been away from my desk for 2 weeks now but I'll be back in full force soon =) Cheers.

I ran a search for that on Audiogalaxy and came up with a jamiroquai by the name of "James Bond" and one called "007". I've got them waiting to be downloaded but they're offline at the moment.

Thanks for the tip, PaulZ108!

I've been trying to track this down ever since mrmoon mentioned it. :)

Turns out that "James Bond" was merely somebody's idiocy in naming files...it was just the James Bond theme from Dr. No. No modernization or anything.

I'll see what 007 is but I think it may be the same idiot's way of naming the 007 theme.

I had the same misleading experience.:)

I'm still waiting to download "007", which is credited to "actv".

I've noticed that a lot of the file names include "007" as indicating the 7th track from a CD.

Found another one...

Duran Duran's demo for A View To A Kill demo is floating around on audiogalaxy. The opening bars are different (seemingly borrowing from OHMSS like the rest of the soundtrack) and some of the lyrics are changed. (Jump out of the fire rather than dance into the fire)
