Wow. Thats really boring  No, actually, that is kind of cool.

Hey, I just had an idea. Maybe we could talk to one of the mods about putting PP avatars on here.

i've just come across another connection: a large portion of The Pink Panther (1963) was filmed inside the Miramonti Majestic Grand Hotel in Cortina; years later, scenes for For Your Eyes Only (1981) were filmed just outside the same hotel.

It's a small world, afterall!

one more odd connection: in The Pink Panther (1963), David Niven - who played Sir James Bond in CR '67 - dressed up in a monkey disguise; and Roger Moore - who cameo'd in Curse of the Pink Panther - dressed in a monkey disguise in Octopussy. coincidence? probably, but it's still interesting!

how about this one, Jaws: you already know that Peter Sellers, who played Clouseau, played James Bond in the CR'67 spoof, BUT did you know that the new Clouseau, Steve Martin, also played Bond in a parody? he played James Bond in "Bullets Aren't Cheap", a Bond parody sketch on Saturday Night Live, years ago. the sketch can be seen on the "SNL: The Best of Steve Martin" DVD.

It's an understanding that Inspector Clouseau and I have. I find everything he says to be boring, and he smacks me with Sean Connery's pink tie

speaking of which, here's another odd connection for you - the Muppet connection!

yes, Peter Sellers, Steve Martin, Roger Moore, and John Cleese (among others) were all guests on the Muppet Show; and Pierce Brosnan was a guest on Muppets Tonight... AND Peter Ustinov, who was slated to play Clouseau in the first PP film before backing out (which allowed Sellers to step in and make it his own), was even a guest in the first season of the Muppet Show!

alright, how about this one:

in 1965, Tom Jones sang "Thunderball" for the fourth Bond film to star the original Bond, Sean Connery; then in 1976, Tom Jones sang "Come To Me" for the fourth Pink Panther film to star the original Clouseau, Peter Sellers!

No offense, but you really do have a lot of time on your hands to come up with all this. In any case, all I can say is well done. :D

you know, i just happened to think, though. there are several Panther-related folks who were in Casino Royale '67, so maybe if we just had avatars for some of those folks, that'd work, since they're a tighter connection. David Niven, Peter Sellers, Burt Kwouk, etc.

what do you think?

i could do with a Sellers or Niven avatar, myself. that'd be pretty cool! :)
