I figured I should start a thread about this in the spoiler forums. These are big spoilers for the first major action sequence. Here's the excert from the story on the main page.

"During the chase scene at the hotel, one character will run along the top of one crane and leap to the other, sans harness. The climax of the chase scene is going to takine place at the hotel and the "bad guy", most propably "Carlos", will get in a bulldozer and chase James Bond in that. Bond will end up pinned in between the wall of the hotel and the oncoming bulldozer, and the bulldozer will slam into the wall and cause the wall to crash down, making it appear that Bond has been crushed."

It is said that this will be part of the action scene in Madagascar, but the shot of the construction site from the water made me think of south Florida and Miami. However the fact that the signs are in french do suggest that this is Madagascar. I'm pretty sure that the guy who does the crane jump will be Sebastien Foucan announced a while back and he will probably be playing this "Bomber" character or be the stunt double for Seydina Baldi. The thing that is confusing is the bit about Carlos, who is Demitrios's henchmen, being in that scene.

One way I see it unfolding is that Bomber goes to the mongoose/cobra fight to meet Carlos and give him either explosives/bomb or just parts to make a bomb for use in destroying the Boeing prototype. Before the exchange can happen Baond and Carter(who I belive may be the character that Stax mentioned who became Leiter)blow their cover and give chase. The chase winds up at the construction site and Carlos shows up to take out Bond. Carlos completes the exchange with Bomber and goes on his way while Bond who recovers from the assassination attempt via bulldozer resumes his chase with Bomber who attempts to seek sancuary at the Nambutu emmbassy where he works and is also a citizen. Well we know what will happen next.

The other idea I had, although this probably won't happen, would be to have this construction site set in south Florida/Miami. Bond could be tailing Demitrios from the Bahamas and to his hotel in Miami. Bond is discovered and Demitrios send Carlos to dispose of him. The chase spills over into the construction site where Carlos thinks he has killed Bond and sets off for MIA to complete the mission to destroy the Boeing prototype.

These are just my thoughts about the scene. Michael G. was right. This shaping up to be an action packed film.

I'm sorry, I confused the two names. Yes, you're right - it's gotta be "Bomber" not "Carlos".

Yes, although I liked the idea of the construction site being set in the Bahamas or Miami, I would say that it's definitely Madagascar. In addition to the signs being in French, the Malagasy flag (with red, green and white colouring) is clearly visible on the sign to the right of the entrance to the site in the pictures.

The interview with Michael Wilson in the Nassau Guardian pretty much confirms everything from the script review.

Details on Sebastien Foucan's role in Casino Royale

Sebastien Foucan gained stardom throughout much of the world when the gymnastics enthusiast helped invent freerunning, a gravity-defying sport that received exposure in the U.S. via a series of Nike commercials. Now Foucan will employ his high-jumping, obstacle-evading abilities while engaging the new James Bond in one of the most ambitious chase sequences in the history of the action series. Foucan will make his acting debut as Mollaka, a terrorist targeted by Daniel Craig's Bond during an early sequence in November's 21st Bond film, "Casino Royale." When a surveillance operation goes awry, Bond is forced to chase Mollaka on foot, risking life and limb as they scurry through a shantytown and across a dangerous construction site. Currently filming in the Bahamas, "Royale" is based on Ian Fleming's first Bond novel
