If you like epic Bonds you like YOLT and pretty much everything about it. Sure, you won't find it perfect, but then none of the movies are, 100%.
However, if you are a fan of Fleming and his Bond, and the story he crafted for his novel, you are likely not to like it much. You will feel angered that EON knackered the continuity by filming it before OHMSS, blew any chance of making a film of the novel as it was written, and wasted Connery, Sean Connery, cheesed-off or not.

I actually don't see alot of fans (on CBn in any event) that cite You Only Live Twice as their #1 favourite. Is there anyone that this applies to?
YOLT is probably my favorite Bond film. Why? See Loomis' brilliant post above.
Incidentally, JimmyBond, I recently showed my wife all the films, as you did with your girlfriend, and YOLT was one of her favorites. I guess, as Sly Stone would say, Different strokes for different folks...
