Check out these two eBay auctions. The seller claims these images were created for the covers of Benson's novelizations of TWINE and TND. Interesting to think they considered used art like this for novelization covers, but do we believe this? He put of up similar art for ZMT and DS as evidence of how it's in the same style, but I don't know. The Benson covers were each very different. And what does Russia have to do with TND?

Russia? But perhaps that red star is some symbol of the communist regime in China.
Still, I'd be surprised to find these were truly considered for novelization covers. Why take the commercial risk when you can use a photo of Brosnan instead? Why even try to do things the hard way? Heck, even many of us Bond fans might not immediately connect those covers with the new 007 flick if we just glanced at them in a bookshop!

But then again, David Scutt did a lot of Bond Covers, not only Bensons but also Gardners, Amis and even Flemings. Coronets paperbacks, for example.
The first one's clearly "007", and the second one would work as well.
Interesting items. Could be real.

I kind of like them, especially the supposed Tomorrow Never Dies one.

Yeah, particularly the smoke wafting in the shape of 007 from the gunbarrel. However, if these are real cover art, I think they made the right decision to go with the art they did.
