Bond and Trevelyan the same person - who'd a thunk it?!
By God, he could do another Bond or three!

Dalton could, at age 61, still become one of Hollywood's great British character actors. Brian Cox gets everything these days! Is it a matter of Dalton not wanting it enough, or do his looks seem a little too aloof for Hollywood tastes?
Not sure about him playing Bond for six movies, up to Die Another Day. Six or seven movies is a bit of a stretch for any actor, even Connery and Moore.

Who knows ?? But I agree its a shame. He still has a lot to offer but does not seem to get the work. Perhaps he just isn't regarded as box office material. I cant believe that things like Hercules are on his 'must do' list

Personally, I think he would be better off back in the UK.he would fit right in with one of those Harry potter movies.
I have never watched a 'Marple' before but I will be watching this one !
He looks great. We have our new Equalizer!
Fingers crossed Tarl, fingers crossed

I just saw The Rocketeer, and I'm convinced that Dalton would have been typecast as James Bond had he played in more 007 movies.

Well, Brian Cox is a first rate character actor who is in great demand judging by the number of films he has appeared in recently. Timothy Dalton is equally as talented as Cox and could easily follow a similar career path. It seems to me that it's more a case of Dalton not wanting it enough rather than him being too aloof for Hollywood tastes.

That's exactly how Bond should look if they ever adapted LR.
