Okay, we haven't really heard a lot about what will be filmed in Italy, but I think I figured it out. In the script review for Casino Royale, it was said that Bond meets Carlos in Miami. Now, Claudio Santamaria is set to play Carlos. Santamaria is Italian. My thought process is that they wouldn't bother flying Santamaria a third of the way around the world just to film in the Bahamas, which we already know is doubling for Madagascar. So, could all the Miami action be filmed in Italy? I think so. Italy would be a great double for Miami. Thoughts?

Nah, Lake Como has a very European vibe to it. See Oceans Twelve for example, they managed to film Miami in Goldfinger without Connery even setting foot there so its possible but highly unlikely tht filming around Lake Como they wouldnt take advantage of the exterior shots

It's possible that they may construct a mock MIA in Italy, I doubt it. They will probably shoot it in the Bahamas or Prauge or maybe back at Pinewood. I think they will have second unit film some bits at MIA but the rest of it will have to be faked, especially if there are pyrotechnics involved

This is OT but I was watching The League or Extraordinary Gentlemen and the special features and commentaries and all but three days were shot in Prauge. They even found somewhere that they mocked up to look like Kenya. One thing that stood out was a scene in a library, the library is the one at that monestary(sorry I forgot the name but it was big news a few weeks ago)that will feature in Casino Royale. Somehow I think it will double as the british parilment and house of commons.
