I think cinema and movie going audiences have changed a lot since 1962.
John Doe would rather spend his 8 euros/10 bucks to see a X action movie with the Y action star then a film with complete unknowns.

I have to disagree. Back in the 60's, more people were attracted to Movie Stars than they are right now. The last couple of years, big names have not spelled success. I think people are going to see movies these days based upon what they hear about movies and what looks interesting, not who is in it.

Eva Green is a very good actress. I have seen "The Dreamers". I think that she is a good choice for the roll. I can't wait too see it.

it's not how big the name is it's how goos the actor is, example "what lies beneath" is bad due to a lack of acting ability in the supporting cast, whilst Firewall, which also has Harrison Ford in lead is superb because it's got a good supporting cast (Paul Bettany is bloody brilliant)

The full credits and cast list are now available http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0381061/fullcredits on IMDB. I guess this is the official version now. One point of interest is that cinematographer Phil Meheux also has a small role as a treasury bureaucrat.

Another point - Alessandra Ambrosio, a model who was mentioned a few months ago - will be a tennis player who eyes up Bond I believe.

Ah! You beat me to it Vauxhall! Here's something interesting I did notice though. Diane Hartford, who was the girl that Connery danced with in Thunderball, "you should have told me you were with your wife", has a cameo in the bahamas poker game.
