I just saw MUNICH last night and, after seeing it, I have to say I am totally psyched to see Craig as Bond. Comparing him in this to Clive Owen in KING ARTHUR, it's obvious: Craig was the best pick to play Bond. He is definitely going to be the most masculine 007 since Connery. He is major leading man material. In my opinion, he stole the show in MUNICH. All my doubts have been eradicated. Eon made the absolute best choice when they selected him. If you have any doubts, go see MUNICH.

I thought he was fine in what I consider the mediocre Munich--that said i'm still not sure he's perfectly cast for the specific role of Bond. Maybe. I'll have to see CR first.

He had a Connery-esque, ultra-masculine charisma. I saw MUNICH with my girlfriend, who had doubts about Craig as Bond as well. But once she saw him in this film, she was looking forward to seeing him in Casino Royale. He is ideal leading man material. Clive Owen, by comparison, is dreary and dull. King Arthur was a good film in spite of him.

I also thought Munich was an excellent movie. But Craig outshined Bana. He will make an excellent, excellent Bond. He's also going to be the buffest Bond ever, no doubt.

I had the exact same reaction after MUNICH as you, Lucius. His raw, masculine charisma just exudes from his performance.

And I also thought MUNICH was a fantastic film.

I thought Craig really outshone Bana every time they were onscreen together - just by raw charisma. Craig had the least "meaty" role, but his charisma was just so strong.

Agreed. I could not keep my eyes off Craig. Megastud. Not that I'm gay or anything.

But if I WERE...

Seriously though. I don't agree that Craig outshone Bana, but I think only because of lack of screen time. Munich could have EASILY been Craig's movie had the roles been switched.

I didn't like the idea of Craig as Bond at first, but having seen "Munich" I'm all for it. I think he'll be great!

Craig was really very good in his part but didn't have much to do cept sit in the car most of the time. He did not outshine Bana. Only Rush's character allowed another actor to do that though the bombmaker's part was also excellent. Very good movie.

Slight spoiler alert on Munich ... I thought the assassination scene with the Dutch woman showed Craig will be an excellent, cold-hearted Bond. He did have some good lines in the film and provided some of the comic relief as well, something a Timothy Dalton could never do.

I has always felt that Craig will be a good Bond, but as I saw Munich last night I felt so sure he will be perfect. He had such a presence, and cool carisma. His acting was top-notch and he had that arrogant manner, which will be perfect for Bond.

Yes. This is the question. His presence was gold matter for a Bond fan. He has the right eyes for 007 work!.

Damn, I gotta see this film! Doesn't really look like my sorta thing, but if it's a chance to see Craig in action, then I've just got to see it!

Clive Owen, by comparison, is dreary and dull. King Arthur was a good film in spite of him.

I gotta agree with you there mate. My apologies to all the Owen fans on here, I'm not here to cause offense (that's the last thing I want) but from what I've seen of Owen, he's not that good an actor. He just seems really dull and boring, and it's not just his voice. Sin City was a film a thought didn't live up to it's hype, and Owen's story was IMO probably the best. Still, his performance did nothing to suggest to me that he could be Bond. He just didn't fit the part in SC, and the other films I've seen him in (Croupier, Bourne), he just sent me to sleep. He just doesn't seem like a Bond candidate, and from what I've seen of Craig, EOn made the right choice. Once again, apologies to the Owen fans but that's just my thoughts, sorry if they annoy any of you.

I have to agree with you there Carver - I was once the champion for Owen as Bond more than anyone, but now Im a born again Craigite. I saw Sin City and thought Owen was crap in that.

Seen Munich twice now and Craig is gonna be awesome as Bond. Roll on November!!

"Okay, so...what do YOU do?"

He's got "SEAN CONNERY IN THUNDERBALL" written all over him with a felt-tip marker. Munich (and, to a degree, Layer Cake) absolutely solidified him in my mind as Bond James Bond.

OK Mrs Craig. But there are varying opinions about your son as Bond.

I agree he was fantastic in Munich, a very cool presence, some Craig 007 skeptic friends were also convinced by his portrayal in the film...

Munich is well worth seeing and Eric Bana is excellent. Noone comes close to stealing it from him, not Craig or even Geoffrey Rush.

However, Craig does a good job with what could have been a dull supporting role. He has presence, he looks like a mean bastard and if you were to describe him to someone after seeing the film, they'd know who you meant. Most important, this was nothing like the character I've seen him play in other films. He has the ability to play a role rather than a version of himself. In turn, this means he can play Bond without too big a risk of becoming typecast.
