Was curious what Pierce fans thought of his movie, Nomads. It came out in 86, just before he nearly became Bond, and was directed by John McTiernan, who later helmed The Thomas Crown Affair. A truly out there flick, and not a typical McT film.

I bought this on DVD last weekend. I didn't finish watching it because it's way too boring.

Excellent movie, you just have to get into it. Also stars Adam Ant, and Pierce is great looking. More original than any of his bond movies. And from the guy who bought us the original Die Hard and Die Hard III.

Absolutely Stamper. Highly entertaining, bizarre and provocative film. Nice little hidden gem of a film.

Man, I haven't seen Nomads since the late '80s when it came to cable. A friend of mine who is a big Brosnan fan raved about it. It was interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing it again to see how my impressions would be today. I wouldn't go so far as to call it as far out as Connery's Zardoz, but I'd recommend Brosnan fans check it out for its weirdness and to see him play a Frenchman.

Didn't much care for it, it just didn't get me interested.

To be honest, I thought it was awful. Very 80s, and Bill FYEO Conti's music was abominable. The story and characters didn't make sense, and Brosnan's accent and performance were embarassing. I really wanted to like it, as I tend to enjoy out there flicks, but it is nevertheless a curio, especially in light of what came after for Brozza and McT and together with the excellent Thomas Crown remake.

You have to know that the french spoken in the film is total gibberish. It was hilarious when it was screened in france the first time.

For the french dubbing, they totally changed the language, replacing french with well spoken german. It think it may be why that movie got a good audience in france, we were not put off by the original francois language.

It was a film definetely out there...even for the 80s. I thought it was boring when I first saw it years ago but now I somewhat appreciate it for what it was trying to translate to the viewer.

It's films like this that positively warrant a remake and not always the classics Hollywood loves to pick on...

I thought it was a decent try, which didn't deliver in the end.
