I was just wondering if anyone caught this short lived American tv series?
It screened in australia in a late night time slot very early in 2002 and came out on dvd mid last year.
Basically it had the "Secret Agent Man" song as it's theme but otherwise seemed to be trying to emmulate the man from uncle more than anything else.
It was produced by Men in Black's Barry Sonnenfeld and in some ways also beared a strong resembalance to that movie.
For those who didn't catch it a brief run down of the series concept:
Womanising Monk and his female partner Holiday work for a secret organisation that officially doesn't exist helped by African American gadget wise Davis they go around the world (or atleast parts of Vancouver) fighting crime.
The show had a few neat tricks and almost seemed to be trying to say that the good guys could be as corrupt and ruthless as the bad guys. (Often they would be sent to stop a secret weapon, not because it would save the world but because the good guys thought that they should have it themselves)
In an effort to try and have as many gorgeous women running around as possible each episode began with Holiday tracking down Monk on a date and then dragging him off on a mission. The humour was often more smutty then actually witty, the jokes were barely single entendres....
One stand out was Bruebeck the boss a Harvard blue blood and super buerocrat, he got the best lines and the guy who played him is now on CIS.
