Is there anyone else going to be at the James Bond Celebrity Golf Tournament next month at Stoke Poges?

No. Stoke poges is North of London. Its where the GF v Bond Golf was shot for Goldfinger, and the bedroom scene from TND with Bond + Paris.

The latter obviously not shot on the course. :)

Frankly I'd say the majority of fans simply couldn't afford to attend.

The event isn't that expensive. Unless, of course, one lives outside the UK like both you and I do. It can get a bit pricey then, but I'm still making the trip regardless of the cost. I think it will be very worth it. 007Forever should have a new side of the whole "Thunderball" mess when I return too!

Well for a UK citizen what would it cost? I always thought it was in terms of hundreds of dollars, which does seem out of the budget of most people.

And by the Thunderball mess I take it you mean the McClory situation?

It is about $200US, which I think is a fairly good deal considering who you get to spend the day with. I'm really excited to get to hang out with some old friends and to make some new ones.

Yes, the McClory/Whittingham situation. A whole new light will be shed if I get the time to do the interview.

Sounds like a McClory interview is in the cards!

So who'll be at the tournament this year Jordan?

Not quite, but it is someone almost as good.

They usually don't announce it. I assume John Glen, Shirley Eaton, George Lazenby, Caroline Munro, Christopher Lee, and the regulars will be there. Michael Wilson and Barbara Broccoli always attend. I know John Barry will be there because they are doing a tribute to him at the gala dinner with Raymond [Benson] playing a concerto of his Bond themes on piano.

There will be a few other celebrities at the event too, but I sworn to secrecy so I can't say.

Woah that does sound damn good. Wish I was attending now. Ah well, I can't afford it right now anyway. I guess I'll just have to wait for another year.

What sort of price is 'not that expensive'. I'm not going as I am across the Atlantic and play an embarrassing game of golf.

Perhaps someone will toss a bar of Nazi gold before a putt? ;d

Excuse my ignorance but is Stoke Poges in America?

Or are you kidding.
