While the lyrics don't necessarily line up, I think the tune of this song is very Bond-ish, more so leaning toward maybe a Roger film from the 80s. What do you guys think?

I think it's an astounding song. It's one of my most frequently played tracks and with a slight lyric change (some of them do sound Bond related) and a change of introduction (making the song start with a variation on the string/piano motif would be a good idea a la Goldfinger) it could have well been a Bond song.
I thought it so good I edited it a bit and made the distinctive motif my text tone. You can have it too if you like and your phone takes mp3 message tones. I'm rather fond of the remixes as well. The Soulsavers one (used in Layer Cake) is my favourite of the two so far. The other is by Thin White Duke, who I believe is Jacques Lu Cont under an alias.
I was thinking I wouldn't mind Starsailor performing the next Bond song, I like Walsh's voice, too. Distinctive and emotion-filled.

I like them but sometimes they sound a little whiny and whingy (Alcoholic e.g.), this puts me off the idea of them doing a Bond tune but I can totally see what you mean about Four To The Floor.

I have to admit, I'm not a big fan of either the song or the band. I just can't see it, sorry. It just feels a bit too plaintive and depressing to be a Bond tune.
