I had a feeling that one would lead to more, and it has, 'For Your Eyes Only' works it way to the small screen this Saturday, on a different time, now at 8:35 pm, on a different station, back to Channel 10, adding more confusion to those wondering just who has the rights here in Oz.

Of course this is Grand Final day, if the Bombers win, I'll be out celebrating, if they lose I'll have to settle for Bond on the tele.

Oh, and don't forget 'The Edge' on Channel 7 tonight (23rd) which, while not a Bond film, is directed by Bond 20 Director Lee Tamahori.

'The Edge' (7)
Sunday 23rd, 8:30 pm

'For Your Eyes Only' (10)

12th James Bond film

The only problem with 10 is they seem to show more adds than the other channels.

As long as they show Bond content I don't mind :)

God I hope Angela Bishop doesn't cover Bond 20. I'll be most upset.

Did you ever see her Episode I interviews?

When TND came on TV I had to watch it!
Even though I had it on video!

BTW, Is it just me or at the start of the edge on sunday The Rainmaker popped on, or was that sat?

You're asking the wrong person. I've been stuck in Indonesia for the last five years. :)
By the way, who won?

I'll hazard a guess and say that the rights to the Bonds do not go by period of time, but by how many times they can be shown.
It may be that 10 has not yet exhausted the number of times FYEO can be shown by them. This could be the last before they renew the contract or another channel takes up the option.
I don't know, but could be.

It's a possibility. But how the heck did they work it all out?

They are all showing Bond's from all the periods. What did they pick and mix or something? Or are they trying to gang up on Channel 9?

With the Episode I interview she speaks to Liam Neeson (now this is about a month before it gets released in Australia and a few days before it gets released in the US)

First Question

"Near the end of the film your character dies...."

You f'ing cow!

Tell me about it. For some reason I can't resist watchinf Bond at an inconvienient time with lots of ads, maybe the ads for it during the week get me fixated, I don't know.

It has to be the TV adverts. You sit there all week going wow, Bond. And, who would really stay home on a Saturday night to watch a Bond film on DVD? Few people. But on tv, hey!

I enjoyed FYEO last night :)

Ah Thank you, I was at the game too, so it was disapointing. Today I replaced my Bombers wallpaper with the Bond one I made.

Well a good move with the wallpaper. It would be very disappointing to have been at the game. Shame really.

Personally, I didn't expect them to win. The weather was against them. They weren't in best form. I mean Hawthorn almost won (it was the last 10 minutes that decided that game) and they are only just getting their form back (next year and year after I'm sure they'll do very well). But c'est la vie!

Yeah, quite right, but still a little disapointing.

On topic, no Bond on the tele this week. :)

In the begriming. if I remember correctly, one channel got the rights to all Bonds to that date.
A few things then happened:
1. The movies that got better ratings, they kept renewing, while letting the others lapse to be taken up by another channel.
2. That other channel then does the same thing.
3. In the mean time new Bonds are made, but not necessarily optioned by the original channel for broadcasting. Each subsequent movie may not have been taken up by the same network.
4. On occasions the channels may not be able to re-new the movies they want to keep because a rival network has placed a higher bid and won.
So you see, there ends up no clear path as to who owns what at any given time, and for how much longer.
Ummm....what was the question again?

Nope! Stupid cow that she is. And they take her as this countries leading entertainment reporter. She knows s***e. She was doing this Star Wars interview and it was so painfully obvious she knew nothing about Star Wars.

God help us if she ever touches Bond.

Now Peter Luck's interview for TND was good!

If so, let's hope she never has the need to ask:

"Towards the end Bond gets killed...."

Well they wouldn't kill the series. But this is how dumb she would be:

Tomorrow Never Dies Interview By Angela Bishop, with Teri Hatcher

"So Paris Carver, sexy tart, but is murdered by her husband Elliot half way through the film. How does that feel?"

Stupid cow.

And I know what you mean about TV! It's still addictive. I love it when the advert comes on. I race to the TV :)

Yeah, that sound like it, I know 7 have shown DAF and LALD quite a few times and probably got to or desided to keep them. I'd rather 10 have them all IMO, they seem to show 'em more often, and at decent times, its no secret 10 like to show the same things over and over and over, ala The Simpsons and Seinfeld (Good shows BTW), hell, they'd show repeats of the News if they could. :)
