I don't remember what novel it was in, but it's in one of the first 5 where there's a short bit about the actual cover business of shipping being run out of an office 3 floors below M by an efficient young man. But yeah, they do have a small trade in shipping things around so they do look legit. I always thought of them as a really small time version of Fed-ex.
