Some of Fleming's short stories are just as thrilling as his actual novels.
My favorite is probably Risico, with The Living Daylights coming in as a very close second.

Risico is my favourite, followed by The Living Daylights and The Hildebrand Rarity.

"Quantum Of Solace" is definitely not to be overlooked! An excellent tale.

Actually, don't look at me funny, but I quite liked "Quantum Of Solace" not your typical Bond tale, but I liked the story. "The Living Daylights" as well.

I've found '007 in New York' to be quite a decent read. It's especially memorable if you read it whilst travelling. Preferably by train.

i have a weakness for
THE HILDERBRAND RARITY
then
OCTOPUSSY
i think part of it has to do with the tropical and reef orientated locations in the Seychelles group and The Bahamas.
And Bond doesn't have to do any killing...although, come to think of it, he doesnt do a hell of a lot of killing in the short stories....

I've always loved The Living Daylights and The Property Of A Lady.
I'm currently reading "BrokenClaw" by John Gardner. Up to chapter 5 - its great so far!
