I do honestly believe that Casino Royale has the potential to be the best Bond film since OHMSS and possibly even the best Bond film ever. Daniel Craig perhaps more than anyone else embodies what Ian Flemming had in mind for James Bond. I am hoping that it will be a faithfull adaptation to the novel in terms of the major plot points if not the details (location and where Bond meets Vesper is not terribly important as long as they style is the same as the book), and of course it is updated to take place in 2006. Basically I want this movie to be what Ian Flemming would have written if the story took place in 2006 instead of the 1950's. I just read Casino Royale recently, the first Ian Fleming novel I ever read and imagined Daniel Craig's face and voice as Bond and pretended it took place in the present day and I liked what I imagined, hopefully they made the script something close to that.
