Interesting to note his favourite is "DR NO" because of its rawness!

Also he mentions that TLD was written before he took over the role.

Check it out, it's a goldmine for every Dalton fan.

Byron, you clever darling, you! You found it, too!

That's The Unofficial Timothy Dalton Website, which is actually much better than The Official Timothy Dalton Website, because it has tons more interesting stuff, and one can spend the remainder of one's life linking on into infinity (I was once lost for five days and nights studying it! )

But . . . just wait a few more months until The Dalton's Wendy's Timothy Dalton Website is complete. Wow! will that ever be something!!!!!

I agree with you, Wendy. I discovered that website about eighteen months ago and it is better than the official Timothy Dalton website.

I very much look forward to visiting Wendy's Timothy Dalton website when it is open. I hope it is a big success. :D

It certainly is! I think she's done a fabulous job!

And the reason, MNL, is because the "official" site is a bit of a misnomer, in the sense that it is not a site produced by Mr. Dalton, nor by his offices. It is an independent site, and the operator was simply clever enough to obtain the imprimatur official. Mr. Dalton, god that he is, very kindly consented to her request.

I very much look forward to visiting Wendy's Timothy Dalton website when it is open. I hope it is a big success.

Thank you, MNL, Darling! Should be ready quite soon, in fact, and I shall definitely let you know when!

GOT A PROBLEM?
ODDS AGAINST YOU?
CALL THE EQUALIZER!

The Equalizer (Robert McCall) is a former agent of a shadowy, unnamed government agency, who is trying to make up for the unspoken sins of his past. His atonement comes in the form of an advertisement in the New York Yellow Pages that features the above quote. McCall uses his finely honed skills, and occasionally, the agents and resources from his old agency, to combat the injustices perpetrated against those who can't seek protection from the law. He battles corrupt politicians, abusive husbands, greedy corporate executives, stalkers, kidnappers and gangsters to avenge those who are helpless. Sometimes, McCall's past comes back to haunt him when spies and international terrorists set foot in New York City and his former employer drags him back in to help track them down.

In McCall's dark world, few people can be trusted. One man he always relies on is his former fellow agent, Mickey Kostmayer, who often assists McCall in his cases. Another is his former boss, a man known only as, Control, who pulls government strings to give McCall a hand when he can.

British actor Edward Woodward plays Robert McCall to perfection, bringing a dark undercurrent of anger and sorrow to the man while still allowing his compassion for the downtrodden to show through. The series ran for four years on CBS, premiering in 1985 and ending in 1989.

I was also a member (think i still am) of Debra Best's fan site.

I recall reading the story where she was at a function where Dalton made an appearance but she decided not to approach him. I don't remember if Tim spoke to her or not.

Sometimes i wonder what Tim really thinks of such dedicated fans.

According to Deb, Byron -- and she is a very good friend of mine -- he thinks dedicated fans are totally nuts.

I have also read this opinion in many of his interviews. He truly cannot understand why people spend their time in admiring actors. He has often said that if people are going to spend their time in admiring anyone, then they should admire those who do work infinitely greater for the good of mankind than do actors.

Which is, of course, perfectly correct.

But it doesn't stop me!

That was at the premiere of Possessed in 2000.

She did meet Tim in the end, because the director of the film (Steven E. de Souza) dragged her over to speak to him!

I think she was understandably a bit nervous about meeting him, but he was really nice to her. She even had her photo taken with him. :D

Yes, Royal Dalton, she was a bit shy -- but understandably so! And Mr. Dalton (the other Mr. Dalton, that is! ) was very nice to her, and was interested to hear about her site, which is also understandable!

Did you know that The Timothy Dalton Chat Group site has won awards for website excellence? Debra does a fabulous job, and replies immediately to any and all queries regarding our guy! (that's her and my guy, of course . . . :D )

Dalton's comments in that first interview perfectly capture why I consider his two films to easily be the best, and, along with the first three Connerys, OHMSS, and possibly GE, to be the quintessential Bond classics.
