Well. I DO! Two years ago I was on a holiday in Italy, Lake Garda. I went with my parents to Venice. And there I naturaly visited Venini Glass. It's so cool to be there, because almost nothing has changed! I asked one of the owners of Venini if they knew anything of a Bond movie recorded there. Well, they went hysterical. The woman there showed me a photo book full of pictures of the recordings there. There were even some pictures of Roger Moore, together with the owners of Venini. What influense a Bond Movie, Moonraker in this case, can have on people!

Later, wen went on an excursion boat trip. And the woman also introduced us the the famous Bond gondola. We stopped there, and yes, it was exactly the same.

In a few words, A GREAT EXCITING TRIP!

I also visited a few years ago the Canal-house in Amsterdam, were the recordings of Diamonds Are Forever were made, but that was not so impressive

I've been to several Bond locations, but my two favorites I think were Piz Gloria and Slumber, Inc.

I've been to Venice but I never thought to look for the glass factory. What a find! The owner's photo album sounds awsome.

A little spartan. There's really not a great deal to see, but its location is amazing. The house itself is (frankly) nothing much to write home about. Were it not where it is, you'd be really disappointed.

But the atmosphere, the position, the (surprisingly large) garden, the evening sounds as the sun goes down...astonishing place.

Right-o then.

Lets see, I was watching over the embankment in Peterborough as a certain train was blown to pieces in GoldenEye (a considerably small explosion to what it seems on screen).

In Eon studios (nice place, Cubby's office has been taken over tho).

Thames (TWINE)

While in Mexico I visited the tank where Titanic and TND had been filmed, but it was an awful day, and only a few minor props were around. Managed to nab a TND Crew T-Shirt out the shop... seems that the crew sold alotta stuff there. I got the shirt for about

Good Lord. I thought you were being sarcy before when you said Goldeneye, I thought of the film and not the house! Silly me.

I really want to go there one day

Did you know that Sting wrote "Fields Of Bali" in Goldeneye? He rented it for a holiday and that's where he found his inspiration.

Although this is pretty tragic - it's Fields of Gold and the line is "fields of barley".

An not unentertaining synonym though, and it probably improves the song. Although the song not existing at all would probably improve the song.

I've been to the Dome, and I live just 5 minutes away from the part in TWINE where Cigar Girl and Bond drive under the wooden bridge. The strange thing is the fact that they couldn't get from the wharfs to that bridge: the place which they drive from is blocked off... How did they get to there?

I went to see them filming at my local sailing centre, which can be seen in the part where Cigar girl is machine-gunning Bond in the boat, over her right shoulder (triangle roofed building), but missed the lot. They filmed the 360 loop there too. Pierce wasn't there anyway. Balls.

I'd love to see Piz Gloria personally, but for the time being I'm pretty restricted as far as Bond locations. It's not like they've filmed anywhere in the vicinity of Texas.

Ah yeah, Monte Carlo... forgot that.

Oh, mistake above, Pinewood Studios, not Eon studios.

Well, I visited the Meteora (where the climax of FYEO was set) but not sure whether it was the same monastery as in the film. Then we have Monte Carlo (I saw a casino from Goldeneye and probably travelled a road where Bond chased Xenia) and Venice.

I think that a few of us Brits might, unwittingly, have visited a key location from TND. The interiors of the car chase were not, in fact, filmed in Hamburg, but in Brent Cross car park, one of those serving the Lakeside Shopping Centre near London.

I can't decide whether that detracts from the glamour, or adds to the excitement because it means I've been to a Bond location.

My grandpatrents have long since left Pinewood, when my Grandad died, she needed a more stable job. I dont know exactly... she was kind of PA to a manager of Allocation.. .some weirdo title. I got Roger Moores autograph off her though... which was nice, as he was one of her idols... she was a Saint fan.

From what I remember it was a fairly dull place... I cant totally remember, it being '92/2 would put me in the 5/6 year old bracket. If there is only the one building with the mahogony, then yes, that one. If not, dunno. Could ask my nan later this week tho.

How is your nan involved at Pinewood? Was she working on a movie there, or does she work for the studio?
BTW, yeah, i think it is just the one building with magonony, its a really old place, and its the first room you walk in the mahog- infront of the room is a small car park.

Were you in the really old building (mahagony interior walls), with the oscars, BAFTA's and Bond posters on the walls?
I dont know which office used to be Cubby's but i did spot Barbara Broccolis.

I was there a while ago, my granparents worked there (where they met). I wasnt really into Bond then tho. The only reason I knew Cubby's ofice has been taken is because my nan told me, although I only figured what she meant a few years after... just think what I could have seen. Damnation. Mind you, wouldnt have seen much, no Bond film filmed there at the time, it was around '92/3.

My Licence to Kill poster went to Europe not too long ago. Didn't bring anything back for me, the piece of....

Seriously though, I've been to several Bond locations within the the U.S.. Here are just a few:

LAX
Circus, Circus
Slumber, Inc
The Whyte House - zencat and I were there with Lana Wood herself.
The Gas Station in which Bond gets in the Prof. Dr. Metz van
The New Orleans, LA locations
The Florida locations.

That list seems small to me, so I can only assume I'm forgetting some.

oh yeah, I've also been to India, but not to the city they filmed Octopussy in, but did go to the Taj Mahel, which they show and I've been on the Ganges, plus I'm in the real Korea, so I've kind of been to the Bond 20 locations, even if it's not where they're filming....
