Whilst he wasn`t my favourite Leiter, (that was Jack Lord) he was by no means (IMO) the worst.
I never knew he was the same age as Connery in Thunderball. I always thought he was a few years older.
Interesting to read in the article that he and Connery never saw eye to eye during the filming. Can`t think why.
I`m sure everyone on this forum would like to pass on their sincere condolencies to his friends and family.
RIP, Rik. You`ll be missed.

I decided to visit the imdb to find out more about Rik Van (Von) Nutter's acting career, but the biggest revelation turned out to be that he was once married to Anita Ekberg.

The intro and exchange in TB was my favorite.
Felix: (still getting his breath and rubbing his gut) That's a fine way to treat the CIA.
Bond: Sorry about that Felix but you were just about to say '007'.
*tosses shower goons pistol to Felix*
Felix: Well James...Have you killed him?
See ya around Felix.
and thanks.

An excellent Leiter who probably should've continued on in DAF.
RIP.

I'm surprised that his acting career wasn't more successful - especially after the staggering success of Thunderball!
Yet another Bond alum passes away. We've lost too many, but, sadly, we're going to lose a couple every year until they're all gone. It sure would be nice of EON to have a "class reunion" party for all the surviving Bond family to show their appreciation for what these people have done to keep the 007 series alive and well.

Not the finest of reasons for such an occasion, but I understand it was lovely.

I was hoping he would do the convention circuit so I could get a chance to tell him how much I enjoyed his portrayal of Felix in Thunderball.
Say hi to Jack & Cec for us, Rik.

Rik Van Nutter gave the best portrayal of Felix Leiter ever.
But didn't he pass away in 2005?

Brilliant way to celebrate someones birthday, by posting it in their official death thread...
I'm sure Righty only had the best intentions in posting that. I mean we still celebrate Fleming's birthday don't we? And he's been dead for quite a while. We should honor the dead, not try to forget about it.

Indeed! I see no offence either in this.
And as Bond would say: "He wouldn't care"
