Guess I take the opposite view here; I expect we'll still see XBox and Gamecube console versions.

Even though Sony owns the distribution rights to 007?! I expect that this fact alone will mean that future Bond games will be exclusively on Sony game platforms.

Why would Sony allow the Bond games on any platform but their own?

Because EA owns exclusive video game rights. They can do whatever they want with it, and what they wanna do is make money. Limiting it to one console is a big factor in NOT doing that.

Oh, and for the record, the date I have at work for it is March 2, 2006.

The SONY-licensed Spider-Man games are all multi-platform too.

What I wouldn't be surprised to see though, is Sony putting their big movies like Spidey 3 and Casino Royale out exclusively on PSP/UMD for, say, two weeks before the eventual DVD release.
