Absolutely nothing of consequence happens in the story and is probably quite suited to Thrilling Cities.

FYI: "007 in New York" only appears in the U.S. edition of Thrilling Cities...
Any idea why that was, zencat? Was it a rights issue or did the U.S. publisher add it after it was already published in the U.K.?

No idea, I've always been curious myself. Most people don't even realize it's not in the UK edition.Mister Asterix (14 Nov, 2001 12:08 a.m.):

The story is only five pages long and it tells about Bond sent by M to inform a former agent that she is involved with a KGB agent (romantically, of course).
As Bond is waiting to meet this girl, he explains how to make (I believe) an omelett breakfast - in detail.

Everytime I think of the title 007 in New York, it reminds me of the song 'Englishman in New York' by Sting.
Coincidently, Sting wrote the classic "Every breath you take" whilst staying at Goldeneye, Ian Fleming's house in Oracabessa, Jamaica.

It would need its own apology note for its existence to the average reading public.

Great idea!Mister Asterix (15 Nov, 2001 03:17 p.m.):
Maybe if Raymond Benson ever does his collection of short stories, '007 In New York' could be part of it as sort of an added bonus.
