Does anyone know if this is true? All of the online sites say today is the day, but when I went to Gamestop they say it now has a generic November date.

You can report them for that, you know.

Unless that has a different meaning over there... :)

Yes, that has a different meaning, markt :)

Today is the shipping date for FRWL... so some stores won't get the game for 2 or 3 days.

It's just as well. If I bring it home during the week, my wife won't let me give it to the boys till the weekend anyway. The 11 year old is deadly but the 7 year old just keeps getting himself defeated.

That sucks. I went to Circuit City to get Episode III and they didn't have a clue about FRWL. Although they did have the cheat guide :) I guess that's what you get for hiring people that can't hook up a VCR.

Just got an MGM studios newsletter and it states that FRWL is in stores now... and another email from EA games that says FRWL ships today and hits stores later this week... perhaps the Thursday date is correct then?

In my experience, Target is usually pretty good for getting games on shelves ASAP. I'd bet they'd have FRWL available on Weds. Personally I hate going to the videogame stores like EB and Gamestop, usually if you try to buy a new game there it won't even be sealed and has crappy stickers on the box, not to mention the Comic Book Guy type employees you have to deal with who try to make you buy their savings card and all that crap. Much better to go to Target or Circuit City etc and get in and out.

I'd also rather just get my own off the shelf, as opposed to having to ask some Gamestop employee to get it for me. And then having to hear about five other games I have no intention of ever buying.

Unfortunately, I've found that game stores are usually the first to get them the day after the shipping date. Both EB and Gamestop should have them tomorrow, with the larger stores like Best Buy or Walmart stocking them Thursday.

But at least there's no stupid street date for this one. There's nothing worse than seeing it on the shelf, but being told they can't sell it yet.

Electronics Boutique says it's coming in today, and I have a copy reserved. It's a somewhat regional store, so I don't know if there any nearby you guys.

I got my copy from EB, although I had to ask about it, since they hadn't upacked it yet. It's very much like EON, although the controls feel far more streamlined. Connery sounds great, even if he is noticeably older. He seems to have a lot more dialogue than Brosnan did in EON as well. (And for the record, he nails the "Bond. James Bond." line!)

Overall, this is easily the Bond game I've been wanting since I was a kid! :)

In St. Louis...I looked all over the place yesterday and couldn't find it, but went by Target this morning and the guy had it in a box...and YES - Connery does nail the lines extremely well. The banter with Moneypenny, M, Q, etc. is high quality.

I remember having similar trouble (like you guys have having) when "Everything or Nothing" was released. It seems that some stores had it on the release date and some stores didn't.
