And if the movie is indeed bad, at least they put together a good trailer. I especially like the movie and the whole Control and Kaos line.

I'd love to see where Bill Murray pops out from to help Max.

It's been out for a month but I missed it some how. I'm still trying to download the new trailer.
EDIT: Looks like that's still the old teaser trailer.

I still can't get over the fact that they got Martin to play Closeau and that they just simply used the title "The Pink Panther" for the film. Really, really bothers. It's even worse when you consider that Blake Edwards is still alive and well.
anyway, looking forward to Get Smart.

I was really hoping that the rumor of this film being Smart's origin/first assignment was just a rumor. 99 more experienced than 86? Sigh.
Unfortunately by the look of the new trailer, it seems that 86 will be a new agent.
I do think that Carell is the best person to play Smart, but I wish he would use Don Adams MS voice (after all DA did not really talk like that, it was a character voice). I still can't wait to see it.

I imagine he'll use it once or twice, but I just don't think it will work like it did back in the '60s. As for the film itself, I will just consider him Maxwell Smart Jr. and enjoy it for what it is.
Certainly better than Andy Dick

Yeah, this is rather disappointing. I wish they wouldn't have done that.

I lean towards the former.
I think it's better that Steve Carrell just be himself instead of trying to hard to mimic Don Adams.

Part of Smart's character is that he "thinks" he knows it all.
