The trailer made me chuckle, in spite of myself, as I really do not have high hopes for this project. On the other hand, if, expecting nothing, and come out totally thrilled, then the film will have done its job.

I've seen the trailer, and it's very funny, Steve Carell is fantastic. It reminds me a bit of Closeau gags. lol. great work!

This was always a show I loved as a kid. I'm very hesistant about modern Hollywood's take on it. The trailer did make me chuckle. I'm hoping that it's going to be good.

At Comic-Con, director Peter Segal confirmed both Agent 13 and Hymie would make an appearence in the film. And wouldyoubelieve.com is reporting that it will in fact be Bill Murray portraying Agent 13.

I'd love to see where Bill Murray pops out from to help Max.

In the 9/14/07 EW, Bernie Kopell confirms that he's filmed a cameo reprising his role as Siegfried. Shame Don Adams didn't love long enough to do a cameo.

This looks promising. It's what the new Pink Panther films should have been like, and not Steve Martin in that lame movie (and sadly he's filming the sequel now as we speak).


I still can't get over the fact that they got Martin to play Closeau and that they just simply used the title "The Pink Panther" for the film. Really, really bothers. It's even worse when you consider that Blake Edwards is still alive and well.

The trailer looks really good. It looks like a funny movie. Anne Hathaway is pretty hot here. I just hope they don't re-imagine it too much. I hate when they remake these things and change it all up.

Unfortunately by the look of the new trailer, it seems that 86 will be a new agent.
I do think that Carell is the best person to play Smart, but I wish he would use Don Adams MS voice (after all DA did not really talk like that, it was a character voice). I still can't wait to see it.

I imagine he'll use it once or twice, but I just don't think it will work like it did back in the '60s. As for the film itself, I will just consider him Maxwell Smart Jr. and enjoy it for what it is.

This second trailer has me a bit concered. Either they're withholding all the funny stuff (a good sign) or this is all the funny stuff (a bad sign.)

I lean towards the former.

I think it's better that Steve Carrell just be himself instead of trying to hard to mimic Don Adams.
