A coworker said there was an interview with George Lazenby was on Inside Edition last night (Monday October 17, 2005).

The selection of blonde actor Daniel Craig as the next James Bond has prompted all kinds of Monday morning quarterbacking, including from some former Bonds themselves. Inside Edition spoke with the man who was called 007, actor George Lazenby.

My coworker said Lazenby was positive and that fans consider OHMSS the best.

I recorded it. As I was taping the various entertainment shows on Friday Inside Edition ran a promo for this piece and I knew I had to have it. It was a pretty typical piece for this type of show, but interesting for Bond fans.

Lazenby was very supportive of Craig as he and the reporter watched the footage of Craig being named. He was complimentary of Brosnan, but what I thought was most interesting was when asked about Brosnan being discharged from the role. Lazenby said something to the effect that he as an actor, he should be able to accept rejection since it happens all the time.

And the reporter did mention that many fans consider OHMSS the best Bond film.

It's wonderful to see more and more. The media is begining to recognize Lazenby and his contributions to the Bond legend.
