Hey zencat, I didn't realize you were also a fellow supporter of the Vendetta character. Personally, I thought she was a far more interesting character than Amy.

Yes, I'm a big fan of Vendetta. She was great.

This is great news John! Personally, I hope it is Amy because I think she was (on the whole) featured somewhat less than many of the other characters in Blood Fever and there is room for advancing that character on.

I was thinking...did the eel-man die in SilverFin? I think he did, but who knows if he really died. He was an eel-man afterall! Maybe James finds him living in the London sewers or something. You never know. That Higgy is clever.

Algar?

I've yet to read Blood Fever so I have no clue. I kinda liked Mike Moran (meatpacker) he was like a Felix Leiter. Would have been cool. I believe he died though.

That's a good guess, Peaceful. Could be. Although I don't really like it when Bond, young or old, has a sidekick. But maybe Red could become his Felix Leiter of sorts. That might be okay.

I think I'm going to hold off - don't these sometimes get discounted even more as the release approaches?

As you point out Qwerty, we can't know for sure that the book will be 400 pages until it comes out. Amazon listings are sometimes not unlike IMDb. Still, that would be cool. Maybe the Young Bond books will be like Harry Potter in that they keep getting longer and longer and longer...

I wouldn't mind that at all. The longer the better as far as I'm concerned. :)

We didn't get news on the US Blood Fever until November, so...
