What will a Craig James Bond game be like?

*Or any Craig-related Bond merchandise, for that matter.

Craig was apparently wearing a Brioni suit at the press conference. But something tells me Brioni might pass on having Craig in their promotional material, as they had with Brosnan. I can't see it happening. The car I could see him doing - he'd look cool driving.
And lifejackets and chewing gum. He could advertise both of them.

It won't be that hard.

Personally I'm crossing everything in hope of a Roger game.

Give the licence to anyone but EA, please.

If they have a Casino Royale video game, I would expect a lot more one-on-one fighting than shooting. Of course, there should also be shooting and a large variety of weapons so that EA remains familiar with the previous titles, but more emphasis should be directed in other areas.
I think the gadgets in the game should be more small-scale and used for the purpose of collecting data rather than fending off the bad guy. Stuff like the mini 007 camera in Moonraker, or the homer tracking device from Goldfinger. Of course, driving the Aston Martin is essential.
Last, but not least, split-screen multiplayer. Essential.
So after EA is done with From Russia With Love, they most likely will be back to making games with the current Bond. (Not sure if they have a choice.)
I would hope they keep making video games based on the old movies. It wouldn't make any sense if they just made From Russia With Love a video game, and no others.

I would rather see an OHMSS game voiced by Lazenby.
Come on it's not like he's too busy.
And he seems to be in with the Bond people enough, too, judging by conventions, etc. If Connery could do it, why not indeed? He'd be a hell of a lot cheaper than Connery. I think an OHMSS game could work brilliantly.

I would hope they would mix it up, but the circumstance of From Russia With Love seems to be that they were only able to do that because there was no Bond of record at that time.
This probably has no chance of happening, but might it be a good idea to get a Craig game in the shops a few months before CASINO ROYALE is released? Y'know, to help pave the way for people to accept him as Bond?
[mra]It may have a good chance seeing as EA had a Brosnan game in pre-production before they switched gears and went with From Russia With Love. It would depend on what kind of change they think they need to make to adjust to the Craig Bond. A Global Domination plotmay not work and may need to be scrapped. (Or maybe they don

As for a Lazenby game, I think it would have zero (or near-zero) commercial appeal.
Really? I think it could be done fairly easily. I think a major advantage is that Lazenby looked like a fairly generic version of James Bond. Dark hair, square jaw. If you were designing a secret agent for a shoot-em-up game and you didn't base the features on anyone, you could come up with someone looking a lot like Lazenby. He kind of looks like Action Man, I think. He's very regularly featured. So I think 15-year-old kids who had never seen the film wouldn't be going 'George who?' so much - they'd just presume it's a generic Bond guy. The title also helps, in a similar way - it could be applied to any of the films (bar one, perhaps ), sounds very cool, is associated with Bond, and would be a perfect title for a game. I think very marketable. Finally, the film has the best soundtrack - they should simply update the Propellerheads' marvellous updating, and I know 15-year-olds who love that - and it features the most iconic Bond action of all in spades: skiing. Ditch the kilt, obviously, and the dead bird at the end SPOILERS, FIFTEEN-YEAR-OLDS, SHE DIES! - and Bond's your uncle, the world's not enough of your oyster, bingo.
Picture it: a video game where you're skiing LazenbyBond down a mountainside, pursued by baddies, with something like the Propellerheads' version of the theme song banging away over the top. Christ, I'd buy that!

Will there be a torture level where you have to survive the carpet beater of doom? I think they'd be better off doing another standalone game like Everything or Nothing.
Maybe you'd get to play as Le Chifre in that level. Just think; it could be like Dance Dance Revolution, where you have to hit the buttons in time to the music. Once 007's pain-meter fills up, his screams shatter the windows, allowing the SMERSH agent to get inside and do his job!

This whole thing sounds bizarre, its not like Casino Royale is a natural fit for a videogame, especially if its meant to be gritty and has only one explosion. Will there be a torture level where you have to survive the carpet beater of doom? I think they'd be better off doing another standalone game like Everything or Nothing.
But maybe the games market is now so big and important that any "action/adventure" blockbuster worth its salt has to have one as a tie-in (I gather that the GOLDENEYE game actually made more money than the film).
That said, I'm surprised that there aren't any Bourne games (that I know of, at least).

Still, it's already an established fact that there will be no Q in the movie (yippee!), so....

What do you mean by "with Eon following the plotline"? I thought only the last third or so of the novel was going to be faithfully(-ish) translated to the screen? Which of course leaves room for lots of "new stuff" (Solari, anyone?) and, erm, gadgets.
Still, it's already an established fact that there will be no Q in the movie (yippee!), so....

Hand-to-hand fighting.
Gadgets to open locks and decrypt files.
Casino mini-games.
MI6 training levels.
And driving levels with both Aston Martins.
