Pierce Brosnan is no good at Bond! He has been in Three films and the man hasn't played a good James Bond Once!!!! I say Drop that Loser and get a real James Bond!!!!!!!! The man's acting is feeble and he isn't right for the part.... Ditch him and get someone who really knows how to play James Bond.

Your absolutely correct!
He has played a good James Bond THREE times, not once!

I don't think Timothy Dalton had long enough to show he was the best of the Bonds. And personally I find his interpretation of Bond too humourless. I know Bond wasn't a laugh a minute in the books but the films and the books are very very different and I expect to laugh (or atleast smile) at bits of a Bond film.

I love Brosnan. I really think he's excellent. He makes me laugh, he brings believeabilty to the role. For me he is better than Connery (sorry chaps... don't shoot me down about that one... I love Connery and the early films)... Brosnan is Connery AND Moore all in one and that's great.

I think that the next person to play Bond will find it very hard to follow Pierce and how much the modern audience loves him.

Also... who else out there could truely be Bond at the moment? Good luck to Barbara Brocolli finding the sixth Bond!

Of course, that won't happen for another 3 or 4 movies yet.
Right?

Doc Cheese, I think you have captured Brosnan's Bond in a nutshell.
He's a sort of 'Moonery'. :)

I don't think Brosnans bad as Bond, I don't theres any real suitable replacement at the moment, but I question wheather or not he has brought anything new to the role, and I don't think his films stack up with the other ones as well as they should

Sorry, Le Shef, though I agree with you about Timothy Dalton's strengths, I can't share your antipathy for Pierce (that's 'i' before 'e' except after 'c') Brosnan, who I think has slipped nicely into the part, and brought a good deal of thoughtfulness to his interpretation. I don't mean his Bond is 'thoughtful', I mean Brosnan's preparation and attitude is. Compared to Roger Moore's 'say the lines and don't trip over the furniture' approach, Brosnan's done his job well.

Yes good luck to Barbara! There's always me, depending on when Pierce retires from the role. But for the 7th Bond I'll be right bang on age, so Barbara here I am :)
