I like both decades but I have to go with the '80s which has four of my top 5 all-time Bond movies--For Your Eyes Only, Octopussy, The Living Daylights, and Licence To Kill. The best the '70s have to offer are Diamonds Are Forever, Live And Let Die, and The Spy Who Loved Me. They're all good but they can't quite measure up to the '80s films.

I think I would go with the 80s films, because I think that, with the exception of TSWLM, the 70s film were bad, due to how they were made but also because of that unspeakable 70s fashion. In the 80s,we got more instances of Bond being serious in FYE, TLD and LTK, which added to the lacking credibility of the hero.

Well I really can't decide because a decade really can't go wrong if there are 3 or 4 Roger Moore films in it.

Both good decades for Bond - although the eighties had the bonus of Moore and Dalton for me the seventies was the best decade for Bond. Diamonds are Forever and Live and Let Die are two of my favourite Bonds and Roger was never better. Plus the seventies was the best decade for films anyway so I guess it stands to reason.
