I watched TMWTGG on my R2 DVD last night, and as the gun barrel cam on, I did a Moonraker-pigeonesque-double-take.

Are the trailing dots (before bond walks on) meant to be light blue?

I can't remember noticing this before, or anyone mentioning it, so I guess this must be down to the telecine processes used when mastering the original print.

Has anyone with a VHS or other region DVD spotted this too?

But if so, why TMWTGG? Is there some hidden reason for changing it on this occasion?

I have the PAL VHS.. .twice. One's a single release, one part of the box set... both have the blue, as does TSWLM if I remember rightly.

Is TSWLM part of the box set or a single release?

This is extremely curious!!!!!

I'm posting this to revive this topic. I thik it deserves more attention as it certainly has many quesions that need answering.
So, the circles are meant to be blue. Why?? Anyone?

Parasyte, did you check your TSWLM video to see if they were blue?

I've just re-watched the start of TMWTGG and those dots are definitely blue

This is the stuff of urban legend, LOL

I can't remember this (haven't watched the bloody thing in two years) but I always wondered why they never had a gold-coloured gunbarrel? Or at least a movie poster like TLD's but gold?

I've raised this point many, many times and nobody seems to know what I'm talking about.
I have the Region 2 DVD and when I borrowed my mates VHS I found it was the same.
I think it may have been an attempt to update it a little bit. Either that or someone, while they were remastering it, cocked up big-time!

My advice is, contact someone on the inside who is likely to know the answer. Mikey G. might have a fair old idea, although probably not. Roger Moore might know. Maybe it was because the gun barrels in the trailers were blue.
Who knows???? I don't!

Does anyone have the region 1 dvd/ntsc video release?
