My personal favourite best scene of all time is at the SPECTRE HQ in Paris (Thunderball) The Interior of spectre HQ where no.9 is electricuted and Largo reveals his plan.

As far I am concerned, that scene starts when we see Krest talking to Sanchez.
"Go get the cop".
Sorry to go on about LTK.

No one said I couldn't pick a scene from the novels.
Well, if the novels count, then, Bond's final battle with Blofeld in YOLT or Bond introducing himself to Rosa Klebb at the end of FRWL.

action: moonlight ski chase down Piz Gloria
non-action: Bond arrives by boat to the casino and taunts largo with the "SPECTRE OF DEFEAT" line while playing bacarrat.
oh...action runner-up: bond free-falling without a parachute in Moonraker pre-titles. saw that at the theatre as a teenager...it was mindblowing!

Narrowing it down to one single scene? That's a tough one.
I'm going to have to go with Bond's fight with Necros in The Living Daylights when they're hanging off the back of the cargo plane. I really liked how Bond got rid of Necros there.
Can't Agree with you more, it was perfectly staged, and then there was the point were Necros was holding on to Bond's shoe, and then Bond takes the knife and cuts the laces, and then you here Necros scream as he plunges to his death. Perfect

No one said I couldn't pick a scene from the novels, so: Bond using the cigarette case to save his life in FRWL. Absolutely fantastic, why didn't they use that in the film? Probably because it took away from an almost equally good fight.
Well, Bond is probably going to travel by train some more, so I'd like to see this one on film.
I agree with you, General. The only problem may be that they don't even let Bond smoke in the current films. So they would need to either let Bond smoke again or come up with a good reason for Bond having a cigarette case on him.
So many scenes I love, it's hard to narrow it down. I'll just go by the different Bonds.
Connery - The fight with Grant. I wasn't around for it when it was released, but action movies had just reached a whole new level.
Lazenby - The scene in his hotel suite when he finds Tracy in his robe. Did the people who criticize Lazenby ever watch this scene? Sure, he's a little awkward, but it was the guy's first time.
Moore - The baccarat scene in Octopussy. Moore's suave cockieness really comes through here.
Dalton - The look on his face after Saunders is murdered outside the cafe in Vienna. The goofieness of the Moore days was over with that look.
Brosnan - The Dr. Kauffman scene. The brutal Bond is back.

Bond introducing himself to Rosa Klebb at the end of FRWL.
I think this was put on film with the Bond/Stromberg scene at the end of The Spy Who Loved Me. The hurling the chair to the ground thing, yes, exactly like From Russia With Love.

That scene definitely highlights Brosnan's unique Bond humour that the other actors would have handled differently or not at all. Animated and expressive, but not OTT. Similar to how actors would project humour on the stage.Xenobia (05 Apr, 2002 11:20 p.m.):
A very close second is Bond attempting to show off in Wai Lin's Q branch in TND. It's so much fun to watch his face when he sets off the lion / flamethrower!

Bond knows why Lisel is there, Lisel knows Bond knows why she is there, but in the spirit of two British people stuck together in a foreign country, they make the best of it, and have a jolly good time!
