The Bedside Companion was the first introduction to Fleming analysis and scholarship for many of us.
Many happy returns and congratulations on half a century!

Your contributions to the world of Bond have always been and continue to be excellent and are greatly appreciated.
Put your feet up, put on some jazz and enjoy the day.
The doors always open for you in LA.

Me, too! Benson always replied to my questions. I got to meet him at a book signing years later and he was a nice guy. Happy b-day!Happy Birthday Raymond! I'm one of the old timers who used to correspond with him when he was bp of the James Bond Fan Club. I miss those days. A simpler time, so to speak.
