Is this not the UK 1st paperback for Licence Renewed...or was it some rare recalled version?
Any info would be appreciated.

Because it used the 007 logo this cover was not supossed to be used, but some copies did get out (because I have one -- I think that's a scan of my book). It is the "true first" paperback edition. I would also like some more info on this. Anyone?

http://www.bondian.com/ claims that it is a first edition. I'am more familiar with the 2nd printing that contains a car wing mirror on blue background. It probably explains why the first is so difficult to find.

Yeah, I've seen that on Bondian before.

I'm pretty sure that it is the first printing by coronet, but as Zencat said, they would have had to stop printing due to the 007 logo being on. there fore making it a very rare item. I'm acually looking for that one my self.

It's definitely Coronet. Another edition of this I've seen is the same style and everything with a plain 007 and the addition of the wording "Ian Fleming's Masterspy".

Yeah, that one I've seen plenty times. Must be the correct first.
