Plot:
A wealthy shipping tycoon has funded the development of a sophisticated weapon that has the destructive properties of a nuclear bomb and none of the radiation. He has conscripted a revolutionary from a fictional African country to do his bidding - in the promise that the tycoon will display the power of his sophisticated weapon on the fictional African country, leaving the leaders dead and allowing the revolutionary to sweep in and take power. MI6 have been aware that the tycoon has been dealing with the revolutionary - and managed to have an operative employed as his Personal Assistant. A cruise liner owned by the tycoon is destroyed - and the daughter of the Prime Minister is dead so MI6 decides to step up their investigation of the tycoon, so they send in Bond who adopts the persona of a disgruntled former RN sailor seeking employment from the tycoon, the guise works and Bond is soon welcomed into the shipping corporation as the tycoons bodyguard. Bond and the operative clash - and they team up to investigate the tycoons plot. The set up is complicated when a stunning environmentalist turns up - and exposes the true nature of the plot, endangering both Bond and the undercover operative. Exposed - the three must work together to prevent the tycoon from achieving his ultimate goal: using a combination of his ships and the sophisticated weapon to blow up the Panama Canal. The action leads up to a stunning confrontation between Bond and the tycoon on the tycoons private luxury yacht -
