i think Jason Statham wud make a great bond. he got the looks. he got the cool. and he perhaps can also muster a wee bit of humour. i have to say when i watched the transporter he reminded me of bond. in fact i wudn't mind him havng a close crop cut, it suits him and perhaps it time we had a bond with receeding hairline to being some element of an every man in him

LOL I like him too. I own 'The Transporter' and I cannot wait for 'T2' but I think he's too short(listed on IMDB as 5'11 but I think he looks more like 5'9 and bald; although he looks perfectly cool bald, it's just not really Bond.I definitely think he has the attitude for the role and his martial arts skills make him legitimately threatening...if only he was taller and more pholically empowered!

I think he would be a good Bond, if he grew his hair, Connery even wore a wig. I think he would be a better Blofeld, should they ever recast that part. But I wouldn't object if he played Bond, he played a slightly Bondian character in The Italian Job.

LOL but I don't think he's really 5'11. If he was I'd would not care about a 2 inch hieght defecit...or his hair...Heck,I like the guy more than 95% of all actors working today.

Exactly. Mr Stratham is a very good actor, did well in The Transporter, Snatch and The Italian Job but he really isn't Bond. A thuggish henchman maybe, however he lends himself more to cockney characters than someone like James Bond.
