We regrettably had to take S-Branch offline the day after it was launched following our 5th year anniversary. We were contacted by an individual claiming that the content Devin had written for the character and gadget summaries were copied word for word from his web site. Unfortunately, Devin was away on vacation as many of you know until the Saturday, and he wasn't able to come online until very late Saturday evening. So when this happened on Wednesday, we had no way of contacting Devin to ask him about this. During this time, we kept S-Branch offline while we investigated further.

When Devin arrived back from his vacation, he came back to the shock of what had happened. Before leaving on vacation he was dead excited about the launch of S-Branch and was sad to know he wouldn't be around for it. Devin and I had spent a good few months preparing the new addition to CBn. Devin categorically denied copying the content from the accuser's web site, and as the accuser had not provided us with, nor could we find, any solid proof that the content was his or that it existed before S-branch was put online but not advertised, nor that he actually existed as he was using a Proxy IP address which is listed on many web sites to be from Sri Lanka.

As we've requested, and so far not received any solid proof that the content was written by the accuser, we're obviously sticking by our man. And with that, we'll soon be re-launching S-Branch. As a sign of good faith, if we should receive proof that the content of S-Branch has been taken from the site in question, we will of course review the position. We await any such proof.
