I just watched Licence to Kill again, and noticed something. I don't know if anyone here knows about this, so sorry if I'm repeating something everyone knows. Anyways, it's near the end of the movie, in the part where Ms. Bouvier drops Bond on the gasoline truck from her airplane and Sanchez is shooting at them. The pitch and rhythm of some sets of shots that Sanchez fires clearly sound like parts of the James Bond theme. Probably a joke the sound people wanted to play. I was wondering if anyone else noticed that.

Hey blaze.

A very 'warm' welcome to CBn blaze. :)

You're perfectly correct. The James Bond theme is indeed featured in the ricochets off the truck in the last quarter of Licence To Kill.

Cheers,

Ian

The real question for fans...how many 'Wilhelm screams' in all the films?

I don't know myself so don't back me into a corner...would be neat to know, though...

I'm not sure there is anything else like that in the movie. My mind kind of came to a screeching halt when I heard it, and went, "I need some peanuts." And then as I was getting the peanuts I realized: the gun ricochets sounded just like the Bond theme. I doubt I would notice the ricochets so clearly and not anything else. Anyways, 'twas a good movie.

Or as Deputy US Marshall Gerard in The Fugitive says: "You must have ears of a hawk."

Welcome Blaze :)

I think that it was intended to lighten up the mood for the film as LTK is a very dark film in itself. Rather like the flying carpet out of the living daylights(Although that wasn't in the final version).

I found this out in the leaflet to the LTK DVD. But well done for paying attention.

Whoa it's written in there...well you know, I'm one of those people who hates reading. Really, I think just putting in the Bond theme with regular music would have been better. But I guess those kinds of little things are "fun."

Yeah,it is in there loud and clear. It is also written in the information packet about the movie.

In the theaters with the surround sound you could hear it immediately. Pretty clever sound effects editors, eh?

This was one of the "fun" bits of trivia it took me a long time to notice compared to all the other ones in the series.

Seems like a lesser known piece of information on the whole, in my opinion.

Yeah I never knew it until I saw this thread.

I just pointed it out to someone the other night actually, she'd never heard it either.

Yeah, believe the DVD booklet makes note of it though.
