First the simple question...
Would anyone be willing to copy the full-length 1954 "Casino Royale" (with the infamous 'undead Le Chiffre' ending) onto a DVD for me? I'd be willing to pay for the DVD-R. (This was actually supposed to come out officially, with special features, but MGM prevented it.)

Now the harder question...
I'd also like, if possible, if someone could copy me some of the foreign Bond films onto DVD as long as they're English or English subtitled. I hear there are some pretty interesting unofficial ones from foreign countries.

Thanks in advance... hope I didn't break any board rules or anything :)

You sure you want that turd? Unless you're just a diehard fan who wants it for "completist" reasons I suggest you pass on it.Barry Nelson is atrocious as James Bond.Just unbearable.

Yes, I like the original "Casino Royale." Unfortunately, the only version officially released on DVD is the cut-down version on the Region 1 DVD for the David Niven version.

I have the Casino Royale VHS now, and that's what I'm gonna do. I was very disappointed with it though - it's very jumpy (the shorter version doesn't bounce like that), and the "extra" ending is disappointing.

However, I still wish the other TV treatments (Risico, From A View To A Kill, etc.) had come to the screen, because I really liked Barry Nelson as JB.

Hi!

Are there any differences between the CR 54 version on the CR67 Region 1 DVD and the version on video tape, except the ending, which is missing on DVD?

Thank you for replying! :)

I believe the complete version has the infamous blooper of Peter Lorre getting up and walking away (even though his character is supposed to be dead).

No such seen exists, unfortunately. I told snopes.com about that, and they posted a page debunking it. A scene like that happened on "Climax", but the week before, not in Casino Royale.

The extra ending on the "collector's edition" is just an extra minute that sees Le Chiffre killed off for good, and was probably cut from other versions because the quality is almost unwatchable... the picture jumps all over the screen.
