Lion King. Best Disney film I can remember. :)

Also The Fox and the Hound. I also grew up with that one.

Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favourite

The Lion King, The Hunchback of Notre Dame and Atlantis: The Lost Empire is also excellent.

I can't choose!

I really liked the two Aladdin films, though. :)

As a kid, I was absolutely entranced by "The Jungle Book" and "Peter Pan".

Still am.

I am exceedingly fond of pretty much all the old animated classics.

And I'm similarly impressed with most of the more recent offerings.

There is no contest:

MARY POPPINS!

Best. Disney. Movie. Ever. And also one of the most perfect films ever made. Animated Disney films I'd have to give to either Aladdin or Sleeping Beauty.

Beauty and the Beast is a well-crafted picture - though Disney released Hayao Mayazaki's Spirited Away for Western audiences which is a very interesting - and engaging - film. The Lion King was the first film I went to see as a child so it will always have a little sentimental value.

Surprised Bond fans are not mentioning Condorman...that was a favorite of mine growing up, mostly because of that car chase sequence, Barbara Carrera as a Russian agent and Oliver Reed as a villain.

As far as animated fare goes the Sherlockian in me likes The Great Mouse Detective aka Basil of Baker Street but I personally love 101 Dalmatians and The Rescuers.

Sleeping Beauty.

One of the greatest villians ever. The art on it is spectacular and the score is unique.Once Upon A Dreams is a very good song. The story has a kind of darkside(the hell reference) and the mind control sequence is very eerie. A very good film, a romance disney film that doesn't focus completely on the romance.

I used to love The Fox and the Hound as a kid...still do. Also, Robin Hood was a favorite of mine, and so was The Great Mouse Detective. Great villain work by Peter Ustinov in the former and Vincent Price in the latter.

Agreed there. Looking up the name, I see she was called Malificent. I think she may have been the only Disney villain to ever scare me when I was much younger.

Hmm, tough call. I was obsessed with Lion King for most of my childhood, but if I had to pick a favorite I'd say Beauty and the Beast or Peter Pan (romance or comedy? hmmm...), and I really enjoyed Toy Story when it came out. The Fox and the Hound is another favorite of mine...it achieves surprising emotional depth for a kids' movie, and "Goodbye is Not Forever" still makes me cry. :)

I haven't seen the first Aladdin in over ten years. I have seen the Return of Jafar more than once, and it is a sweet film. :)
