I've got it!

It has a sort of movie film front cover if you know what I mean with a couple of stills from the film.

I'll try and get a picture for you!

Why do you ask?

I just ask because I got it today at auction in fairly good nick as well. Do you know if it's rare or not? It's very well presented. I haven't begun reading it yet though!!

If you mean the copy with holes cut out of the front cover, then I've got one as well. I have to say that if it was published to conicide with the film then it probably won't be particularly rare. If you're after really valuable editions then you should be looking for first editions from the 50's, preferably hardbacks.

It's a brilliant read, btw.

I could imagine it being reasonably rare. While it was released to coincide with the movie a lot of books become tattered and destroyed over the years. Basically there'd be a lot less copies out these days.

And I'm getting my hands on a few first editions :)

You're talking about the UK PAN paperback edition. Yes, it is very nice. There was also a U.S. Signet FRWL tie-in with a red photo cover. In my experience, this is pretty hard to find in Very Fine condition.
