Hi Everyone,
This message is mainly for people in the UK. I just bought Tomorrow Never Dies on DVD and when watching it, found that a sceen in which Wai Lin throws a Death Star at a guard is not in the file on the DVD.
Is this because the disk is faulty or was it taken out so that it could keep its 12 certificate?
Please could you reply back with an anwser, if you to have the TND DVD.

There's another scene missing too - after Bond tells Wai-Lin he's going to stop the missile, he steps over the (now recovering) guard & stamps on his head...
Interestingly, both scenes are shown intact in the versions shown on UK TV. BTW, you might have noticed the UK screenings of GoldenEye on TV also have extra footage (they possibly bought a US print?). The brief scene where Xenia headbutts Natalya is shown, & the fight between 007 & 006 is longer...

Hi Rob,
No, your disc is not faulty. The shot in question remained cut from the UK release to keep the 12 certificate dished out by the BBFC.
Also, I think they are more commonly known as "throwing stars" to those non Star Wars fans =)
